Welcome to the LGBTQ Game Archive, documenting the history of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer content in games (currently digital, but we do hope to expand). This site is a research project organized by Adrienne Shaw, a faculty member at Temple University’s Lew Klein College of Media and Communication. Work on this project is funded in part by a grant from Refiguring Innovation in Games (ReFig) and Temple University’s Digital Scholarship Center.

We are currently running a Kickstarter as part of our collaboration with the Schwules Museum in Berlin, Germany! Help us make the exhibit catalog for RAINBOW ARCADE a reality. If you donate €30 or more you’ll get your own physical copy of a first of its kind publication on LGBTQ games history, which will cover much more than the information available here on the archive itself. If you like the LGBTQ Game Archive you will LOVE the RAINBOW ARCADE catalog. Even if you cannot donate, please share the campaign with your networks.

For more information on this project please check out our “about” page and for more information on who the “we” refered to throughout this site please see this page.
