.hack//G.U., a three part series of single player action role-playing games developed for PlayStation2, is centered around a fictional MMORPG game, The World. Within The World, players control Haseo, who is hunting Tri-Edge, who has left his friend Shino in a coma. Shino’s coma is connected with AIDA, a strange computer anomaly infecting characters within the MMORPG. The game has an associated anime, manga, novel, and CGI film.
