Tibia is a free massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that allows players to interact with each other within one of the 80 servers across North America and Europe. Each server depicts an identical world, but allows different levels of player versus player combat. There are four possible types of PvP: Optional PvP (limited player versus player combat), Open PvP (player versus player combat possible, but aggressive players are marked with a skull), Hardcore PvP (player versus player combat is encouraged), and Retro Open PvP. When a player is killed, they can continue playing, but will lose experience, skill, and items, as well as being returned to their hometown. Once they reach level eight, the player character can choose from one of four vocations — knight, paladin, sorcerer, or druid — each of which specializes in different combat and magic skills.
