“Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!”, a Japanese adult visual novel developed and published by Minato Soft, translates to “Love Me, Seriously!”. It has a 2012 sequel, five fandiscs from 2013, a manga adaptation, and a streaming/home video anime series. The game is set in Kawakami City, known for strong loyalty to its samurai ancestors and fighting spirit. The main character, Yamato, is a second year student at Kawakami Academy, and has a tight knit circle of friends (three boys, three girls) that dates back to his early childhood. The group is so close they even have a secret meeting place. The game begins at the start of a new semester when two girls join the group and change everything.
