Dark Souls, a third person action role-playing game and part of the Souls series, is set in the fictional kingdom of Lordran. Players experience the game through the POV of a cursed human chosen to leave the Undead Asylum and uncover the fate of the Undead. Plot is advanced through descriptions of in-game items, interactions with non-playable characters, and exploration. Players must collect clues to reveal the story and complete the game.
