Harebrained Schemes’ release Shadowrun Returns is a science fantasy turn based tactical role-playing game that was successfully funded through Kickstarter. Released for PC, Mac, and mobile platforms in 2013, gameplay adopted the setting of the original Shadowrun tabletop role-playing game. Users customize their gender and appearance as well as choose a race from human, elf, dwarf, orc, and troll. They then select a class —- Street Samurai, Mage, Decker, Shaman, Rigger, Physical Adept, or opt to not settle on a class at all. The player’s primary mission is collect a large reward by bringing the murderer of their old partner, Sam Watts, to justice.
