2011’s visual novel Shira Oka: Second Chances gives an unnamed main character — depressed and stuck in a dead end job — the chance to go back in time to high school to apply himself and turn his life around. The player controlling him can start over as many times as needed with the goal of making more friends, earning higher marks, and becoming mature alongside other young adults in the same predicament.
