Tranxiety is an RPG that explores early transition anxieties, focusing on topics such as HRT, family dynamics, friendships, being publicly trans, and mental illness. The game gives a content warning of transphobia and transmisogyny in the beginning after asking if the player is cis, trans, or would rather not disclose that information.
It was made for the trans-positive #JamForLeelah game jam, a game jam that aimed to raise awareness on LGBTQIA issues, specifically trans youth issues, after the death of Leelah Alcorn, a 17 year-old trans woman who took her own life on December 27th, 2014. A law was made soon after named after her, called “Leelah’s Law,” aiming to ban conversion therapy in the United States.
More information about the #JamForLeelah can be found here.
