In the Fatal Fury team’s ending in The King of Fighters XIII, both Terry Bogard and Andy Bogard are congratulated by their girlfriend and spouse, respectively. The third team member, Joe Higashi, is then rushed and embraced by an individual in a dress. Joe is thrilled until it is revealed that the person who is embracing him is a man in a dress and makeup, at which point Joe flees, but is caught and showered with kisses. The ending closes with a distraught and lifeless Joe standing, held by his pursuer, while muttering, “A dream… this has to be a dream…”
