The PlayStation action-adventure game Fear Effect allows players to control one of three mercenaries (Hana, Deke, or Glas) searching for the missing daughter of a powerful Hong Kong mobster. Gameplay involves confronting human and non-human enemies. Fear Effect’s sequel, Retro Helix, reprises the character of Hana as the sole player-character and introduces Rain Qin, rumored to be Hana’s girlfriend.
