Merry Maggie Malpass in Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie, Merry Maggie Malpass is Jolly Roger’s partner (whether his business partner or romantic partner is unclear). She has gone missing and Jolly Roger asks Banjo and Kazooie to find her. It turns out she was swallowed by a giant fish while riding a wave rider.

She has been read by many players as a possible trans woman or cross-dressing male character, because of her broad shoulders and deep voice (both of which can be observed in this video).

She is also reportedly named after Steve Malpass, a member of the Rareware team.
