Jaciel Morgen and Deyanira Katrece are two Daedras encountered in Shade Perilous or Level 4 of Battlespire. Greater Nocturnal Jaciel Morgen is the mistress of Lesser Nocturnal Deyanira Katrece, and the two are heavily implied to have intimate feelings for one another. In order for the player to advance from Shade Perilous, Jaciel Morgen must be awakened from her desolate suspended state. After talking with Deyanira Katrece, the player learns that the only way to shock Jaciel from her all-consuming despair would be to banish Deyanira to the Void. Deyanira willingly submits herself to being banished by the player in hope that her sacrifice would be enough to revive Jaciel Morgen. Upon realizing Deyanira has been banished by the enchanted dagger that the player carries, the Greater Nocturnal momentarily shifts from great sadness to burning rage over the loss of her beloved companion. Jaciel calms down after the player explains what happened and agrees to help the player escape Shade Perilous.
