Façade is an AI-driven interactive story in which the player embodies the role of a longtime friend of married couple Trip and Grace. The story begins right after an argument between Trip and Grace in their home, and the player influences its trajectory by “speaking” to the two. The main endings are Trip and Grace reconciling with each other, the player getting kicked out of the apartment, or one half of the couple deciding to leave the other. However, due to the AI features of the game, there are a number of subtle ways shape the story. One such method is through flirting with Trip and Grace, where the player can choose to flirt with one or the other (as well as proposition them for a threesome). Flirting can generally only be done when one part of the couple is busy elsewhere, and same-sex flirting tends to be difficult to execute successfully.
