This is Where I Want to Die is a visual novel released on the PC in 2013. The game centers around a man who wakes up in a hospital and quickly realizes that he’s going to die. He begins to retrace the events that led him to that point, from proposing to his fiancé to heading to the most expensive bar in town. At the end of the game the protagonist is confronted by two homophobic assailants and stabbed as he tries to protect his fiancé. The game ends with the main character succumbing to his wounds, and a pre-credits message that reads “stop homophobia”.
