Same-sex relationships in Dynasty Warriors series

 

In Dynasty Warriors 7 (2011), players can have close relationships or even marriages to NPCs. According to this thread marriage can only be achieved with NPCs that are not the same gender as the PC, whereas “sworn siblings” can be same-sex pairings as well. However the scenes for both “events”  are very similar. Some players have read these as examples of possible same-sex relationships in the game. For other games in the series, players have used mods to allow for same-sex marriage scenes such as this one:
