Li Dian first appears as a playable character in Dynasty Warriors 8, and as sent in via email has certain lines that make it possible to read him as potentially gay or bisexual. As reported to us he: “has some voice lines which aren’t affected by character gender… ‘I think I’m in love… Uh, forget I said anything!’ and ‘I’ll feel so much safer with you around… I mean, will you accompany me?'” An example appears below:
