Graves is one of the six romanceable NPCs in Hustle Cat (only being able to be romanced after all other romance options have been completed) and is the owner of “A Cat’s Paw”. In the past, he dated Nacht, the game’s main antagonist, but has since broken up with him. It is hinted in-game that the relationship was abusive, one instance being when Nacht says that he just wanted to see Graves, but Graves did not want to see him (seen here at around 27:20, with other instances appearing throughout this video).
