Floren is a Blade, a battle companion character in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. In the game, Floren appears to be a young boy with an outfit inspired by various flora. In Japanese, Floren translates to ‘firefly’ in English. Floren is voice-acted by Clare Corbett..
Because of his appearance and mannerism, Floren is constantly mistaken by other party members to be a girl, atop his androgynous body and ice-staking movesets in combat. In the game, his gender is only revealed through the action of sending out Blades on missions, where some missions are restricted by gender.
