Heather in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

In Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Heather is depicted as a lesbian, having joined the party to meet all of the cute girls. This characterization was directly addressed and defended by the game’s creators in a Q&A on the game’s official site. A player asked why Heather is attracted to women, asking if she had been subjected to some trauma or had some other reason for hating men. The staff response was that perhaps she was just born that way.
