Ned Wynert is a minor character in Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate and a London based transgender businessman. His background as a transgender man doesn’t really come up in-game aside from a look shared by Evie and Jacob Frye when they first meet up. Wynert primarily gives quests to the Frye twins, and the majority of their non-assassination missions are at his bidding. His backstory discusses how he spent much of his childhood secretly dressing as a boy and getting involved in the underground world of organized theft. Game developers of Syndicate have described Wynert’s trans identity as simply being another way for them to represent a diverse array of characters in the Assassins Creed universe.
