The Hubba Tester is an extra feature available in Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates. Players can use this to guage a fake relationship between two characters, with readings changing every time the player leaves and reenters the room in Awakening and changing every time the player performs a reading again in Fates.
There is separate dialogue for when players pair two characters of the same sex together, which can be found on this page under the “Same Gender Friendship Final Reading” section. For example, a Mutual Best Reading results in “Whatever floats your boat” for two male characters.
