Marian in Story of Seasons

Marian is a doctor in Story of Seasons (which is part of the Harvest Moon series). Marian’s gender appears to be a subject of much confusion, because of his appears. As Kori Michelle, points out, however, this gendered performance does not necessarily indicate Marian’s gender identity. He uses male pronouns in the game and others use male pronouns for him as well. In fact, XSeed, the publisher of the North American version of the game, released a statement indicate that Marian is male character. He also talks about his boyfriend in the game, which is likely why is is listed as a “flamboyant homosexual man” on the Harvest Moon wiki. A video from the game featuring Marian is available here.
