Miitopia allows characters, regardless of selected gender, to wear whatever clothing that matches their selected job. For example, there are two jobs known for different gender expression: the Pop Star job is divided into Male Pop Star and Female Pop Star, and the Princess job doesn’t differentiate. This means that a male character could wear female pop star clothing and vice-versa, and male characters can also wear Princess clothing, as seen in the above screenshot (mentioned in this thread as being a drag queen themed character).
