Sir Alstair Hammerlock is a NPC character in Borderlands 2, who gives the player a couple missions in the game. Hammerlock is a gay man, he references his ex-boyfriend Taggart during one of the missions to retrieve his lost ECHO audio logs. Fan speculation about his sexuality was confirmed by an article written by Anthony Burch about inclusivity in the Borderlands franchise.
