LGBTQ References in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Toni and Teri are DJ characters in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (among other GTA games). In one radio show they mention that they might have had sex the night prior, but neither can remember.

The band “Love Fist” first appears in GTA: VC and then in later GTA games. Their sexual practices and gender performance are reportedly non-normative. The game’s protagonist also accuses the band members of being bisexual. A video featuring the cut scenes of this band are below (content warning: transphobia and violence).

Like Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City features more RC toys which have names that may be references to derogatory terms for homosexuals including the RC Raider (arse raider) and RC Goblin (arse goblin). These toys appear in later games in the series as well.
