Tom “French Tom” Rivas in Grand Theft Auto IV

Tom Rivas, also known as French Tom (it is unclear why, the character is Puerto Rican), is a minor character in Grand Theft Auto IV. He is openly gay and owes Brucie money. In a quest called “Out of the Closet,” the player-character Niko is tasked with killing Tom on behalf of Roman and Brucie. He must first use a dating website to lure Tom into going on a date with him. When Niko meets Tom at a diner, they speak briefly before Niko shoots him. A video of the mission is available here (content warning: abelism and fat phobia). Tom’s police record also indicates he has been arrested for being a sex worker. His profile appears below.
